New 2018 CARF Standards: Workforce Development and Management
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. ET

Presenters:

Chris MacDonell, FACRM, BSc, OT

As the field of Human Resources goes through changes it was imperative that CARF standards be reviewed and revised to offer needed guidance to the field of health and human services. The review and revision addresses new approaches to workforce development and management. Key critical activities with workforce such as induction, evaluations, and succession planning are all addressed in the standards. They are written in a way that allows flexibility in how your HR department functions. Medical rehabilitation can benefit from these standards especially the succession planning standards that address a stepped approach to succession.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key changes from 2017 to 2018 CARF standards.
  • List key steps to successful succession planning.
  • Differentiate the approaches to performance evaluation.

Target Audience: Physicians, Nurses, Healthcare Executives, Occupational Therapists
