Kate Beller, JD
President, AMRPA
Kate Beller, JD, has served as the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA) President since March 2024, and previously served in leadership roles within the Association since February 2019. In her current role, Beller helps AMRPA identify current and emerging policy issues affecting the rehabilitation industry, including the annual inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) Prospective Payment System and Quality Reporting Program, Medicare Advantage coverage reforms, the IRF Review Choice Demonstration, auditing and oversight programs within the field, and Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) post-acute care payment analysis, among many other issues.
Prior to joining AMRPA, Ms. Beller served as a principal at a healthcare-focused consulting/lobbying firm, where she developed and helped lead the legislative and regulatory strategies for post-acute care providers and other entities across the health policy spectrum. She received her Juris Doctorate at Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree at Duke University.
Troy Hillman
Director of Quality and Health Policy, AMRPA
Troy Hillman has served as the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA) Director of Quality and Health Policy since January 2023. In his current role, Mr. Hillman helps AMRPA identify policy issues affecting the rehabilitation industry, including the inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) prospective payment system and Quality Reporting Program, as well as MedPAC and other Post-Acute Care (PAC) payment reform proposals. Prior to joining AMRPA, Mr. Hillman served as the Manager of Analytics and Government Relations Director at UDSMR/Netsmart, where he helped develop and interpret the reporting of IRF data and outcomes, educate and train industry stakeholders on outcomes and quality measures, as well as monitoring, interpreting, and responding to legislative and regulatory updates. He also has experience in the Market Research, Banking and Health Insurance industries, where he was focused on analytics and performance improvement. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, coaching hockey, suffering with the Buffalo Bills, and helping to raise two teenage sons.
Suzanne Sample, PT, DPT, MSHA
Director of Operations for Post-Acute Services, HCA Healthcare
Suzanne Sample, PT, DPT, MSHA, serves as Director of Operations for Post-Acute Services at HCA Healthcare, supporting 13 Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities. She partners with divisional and facility leaders to drive programmatic growth, strengthen financial performance, enhance quality outcomes, and foster clinical collaboration through education, strategic initiatives, and process optimization. Suzanne earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama and her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. With 16 years of experience across the post-acute continuum, she brings a strong clinical foundation and operational expertise to her leadership role.
Natasha Woolery, PT, MBA, MRMC
Director of Business Development, Post Acute Services, HCA Healthcare 
Natasha Woolery was born and raised in Dallas, TX. After graduating from Texas A&M University, she further pursued her education, and completed the UT Southwestern Medical School physical therapy program in 1998. She quickly afterwards started her career at Parkland Hospital as a physical therapist.  While working at Parkland, she enjoyed working in all areas of the hospital, but especially the burn unit and wound care center.  After Parkland, she transitioned to People First Rehab (a division of Kindred) to pursue advancing her career into management.  She was the Director of Rehab at Kindred White Rock, and then relocated to Kindred Southwest in Fort Worth holding the same role.  After several years at Kindred, she then took the Director of Therapy Operations role at HealthSouth Fort Worth.  After working there for several years, she joined HCA. She currently serves a Business Development Director on the corporate Post Acute Services team traveling the country training staff. Natasha decided to pursue further education while at HCA and obtained her MBA as well as MRMC with AMRPA. 
Christopher Thorson, PT, MRMC, CCCE
Rehabilitation Manager, Essentia Health Miller-Dwan Rehabilitation Services 
Christopher Thorson graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from University of North Dakota in 1998. He was the Primary PT on SCI team at IRF within Essentia Health from 2000-2016 before becoming the Therapy Manager for IRF within Essentia Health 2016-present.
In addition, he is the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) for therapy students at Essentia Health, co-chair of Essentia Health Falls committee, safe patient handling trainer for Essentia Health nurse orientation, Essentia Health trainer for new therapist orientation. Christopher is also a Minnesota APTA payment committee member and a valued member of the AMRPA Certification Committee.
In his spare time he enjoys travel, indoor rock climbing, golf, Nordic skiing, trail running, mountain biking and hiking.
Denise Gilmore, PT, DPT
Manager Business Development and Quality, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Froedtert Bluemound Rehabilitation Hospital
Denise Gilmore, PT, DPT, graduated from Saint Louis University in 2013 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Following graduation, she began her professional career in Chicago , IL working at Loyola University Medical Center, Northwestern Healthcare, and RUSH University Medical Center before moving to Milwaukee to join Froedtert Health in 2019. Upon joining Froedtert Health in 2019, Denise transitioned to non-clinical and administrative roles with focus on Quality, PPS, Regulatory, Performance Improvement, and Business Development within post-acute and acute rehabilitation services. Denise is currently the of Manager of Business Development and Quality at Froedtert Bluemound Rehabilitation Hospital. In this position she oversees the admissions, quality, and regulatory teams in strategic growth initiatives, outcomes and performance measurement and management, and regulatory and accreditation conformance.
Sharon Feldmann, PT, MS
Director of Rehabilitation Services, Froedtert Hospital Division of Froedtert ThedaCare Health
Sharon Feldmann, PT, MS, is Director of Rehabilitation Services for the Froedtert Hospital Division of Froedtert ThedaCare Health. In this role, she leads the full continuum of rehabilitation services at the system’s academic flagship campus.
A licensed Physical Therapist with more than 25 years of rehabilitation leadership experience, Sharon has led clinical and operational teams across Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRF), and Outpatient settings. Her work focuses on clinical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, quality outcomes, and sustainable operations in complex healthcare environments.
Sharon also serves as a CARF Surveyor, contributing national expertise in accreditation standards, performance improvement, and best practices in rehabilitation care delivery.
Sarah Manney, DO, MBA
Chief Medical Information Officer, Essentia Health
Sarah Manney, DO, MBA, serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN, where she applies her background in pediatrics and clinical informatics to improve patient care through technology. She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium. Sarah completed her pediatrics residency at DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, and is board certified in both pediatrics and clinical informatics.
In her role, Sarah works with a team of clinical informaticists to provide education, analyze workflows, and develop solutions for healthcare challenges. She is also involved in shaping the digital health strategy at Essentia Health, with a focus on quality, access, and patient experience. Sarah is committed to involving patients in the development of healthcare technology by collaborating with technology experts, patient experience leaders, and vendors.
Additionally, she chairs the Minnesota Hospital Association CMIO committee, contributing to broader discussions on healthcare technology. Sarah's work aims to ensure that technological advancements are aligned with patient needs, helping them navigate their healthcare more effectively.
Niklaas Mattson, PT, DPT, ATP
Physical Therapist, Co-Site Coordinator of Clinical Education (SCCE), Essentia Health
I've been a practicing PT for nearly 6 years and have been doing inpatient rehab at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN for the last 4 years. My areas of expertise are inpatient settings, geriatrics, and neurological conditions (especially spinal cord injury). I hold the Assistive Technology Professional certification and have used this knowledge to better implement wheelchair interventions and facilitate custom wheelchair procurement. I enjoy working at a large medical center due to the abundance of resources, multidisciplinary teamwork, and the wide variety of patient conditions I get to work with every day.
Jeremy Trevis, DPT, CNS
Physical Therapist, Essentia Health
Jeremy Trevis, DPT, CNS, is a physical therapist with more than 16 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation at Essentia Health Miller-Dwan, along with additional experience in acute care and home care. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Mayo School of Health Sciences in 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Originally from Rosemount, Minnesota, Jeremy has specialized rehabilitation expertise in stroke, amputation, and complex medical conditions, and is a member of the CIIRP team. He has also served as a clinical instructor for 10 years and as adjunct faculty in the College of St. Scholastica’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program for five years. His professional interests include high-intensity gait training and functional neurologic disorder.
