AMRPA Political Action Committee
The AMRPA PAC was created to ensure that Members of Congress prioritize the field of medical rehabilitation and support the highest quality of care for our patients.
The AMRPA PAC assists in our efforts to educate political leaders on the value of medical rehabilitation in their communities. As an AMRPA member, your voice is an important part of that message. Through these voluntary political contributions, AMRPA members are able to pool their resources to help support qualified federal candidates who shares our views on the issues affecting the medical rehabilitation field. 100% of donations are spent on political campaign contributions as opposed to administrative and overhead expenses.

Certification
The AMRPA certification program is designed to support new ‎leaders and promote consistency and professionalism in rehabilitation management.
The AMRPA PAC is funded by collecting voluntary contributions from employees of AMRPA member organizations. This allows us to leverage every donation into one strong fund for one strong voice. Our AMRPA PAC Board of Directors identifies political champions to support with these funds, so that the medical rehabilitation field can be recognized and understood on Capitol Hill.
Contributions to the AMRPA PAC will be used for political purposes, and must be drawn on personal, not corporate, accounts. Political contributions are not tax-deductible for federal income taxes. Individuals in AMRPA’s membership, also known as the restricted class, may voluntarily contribute up to $5,000 per year to the AMRPA PAC. Contributions are voluntary – you may choose whether and how much to give to the AMRPA PAC.
The AMRPA PAC contribution card contains suggested contribution levels, tax information, and other important details. If you decide to make a voluntary contribution, please make a personal check payable to AMRPA PAC and mail to the following address. If you have any questions, email Joe Nahra.  Â
Granting Permission to Contact
The Federal Election Commission requires that the AMRPA PAC must obtain approval in advance of soliciting executives and officers of member organizations. Therefore, the AMRPA PAC respectfully requests authorization to solicit executives, management, and salaried administrative personnel at your organization in support of the AMRPA PAC.Â
By signing the prior approval form, you’re making a direct impact on the well-being of our field. Our foundation is strong, and it’s time to build a PAC that will protect the future of medical rehabilitation.Â

If you work for an AMRPA member organization that has granted AMRPA PAC permission to contact, you are eligible to support the AMRPA PAC today. If you are unsure if your organization has granted the AMRPA PAC permission, email John Ferraro, AMRPA Executive Director, or call 202-591-2469.
Rest assured that 100% of your donation will be spent on political campaign contributions as opposed to administrative and overhead expenses. Our effectiveness depends on how much elected officials understand our perspective. The AMRPA PAC helps us elect candidates who understand our point of view and will legislate on behalf of our field.
