AMRPA's focus is on collective advocacy -- working together to advance the field of medical rehabilitation and support the medical rehabilitation needs of persons with disabilities.

AMRPA members provide rehabilitation services across multiple health care settings, including inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and units (sometimes also referred to as IRFs). Our members are committed to helping patients maximize their health, functional skills, independence, and participation in society so they can return to home, work, or an active retirement.

Inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and units play a unique and vital role in the continuum of post-acute care (PAC) and offer a strong value proposition. AMRPA believes Congress should focus on policies that promote access to medically necessary care and improve patient outcomes.
