AMRPA's focus is on collective advocacy -- working together to advance the field of medical rehabilitation and support the medical rehabilitation needs of persons with disabilities.

AMRPA members provide rehabilitation services across multiple health care settings, including inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and units (referred to as IRFs). Our members are committed to helping patients maximize their health, functional skills, independence, and participation in society so they can return to home, work, or an active retirement.

We believe Congress should focus on policies that save money, improve quality, and reduce regulatory burden so that providers can focus on patients rather than paperwork. IRFs play a unique and vital role in the continuum of post-acute care (PAC) and offer a strong value proposition.
