Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) Providers
Why Join AMRPA?
AMRPA is the only national voluntary trade association representing more than 800 inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), including both freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and inpatient rehabilitation units within acute care hospitals, as well as state hospital associations, and other important representatives of the field.
We serve as a critical resource for our members and represent the IRF field before Congress, the Administration, and other policymakers.
AMRPA’s membership is at an all-time high. More and more providers, large and small, are benefiting from AMRPA membership, and raising their voices in unison to fight for medical rehabilitation.
Advocacy
AMRPA represents the interests of medical rehabilitation through a proactive policy agenda in Washington, D.C. We monitor the development and implementation of federal legislation, public laws, regulations, and policies that may impact our field – and advocate tirelessly on your behalf. We target a wide range of issues and policy priorities.
But advocacy cannot reach its full potential with AMRPA’s efforts alone. It’s the voice of our members and medical rehabilitation patients that resonates most with policymakers.
AMRPA will assist you with talking points and strategies, educational materials, Congressional background and biographies, and more to support your outreach.
Education
AMRPA hosts two annual conferences each year. Our educational events provide a unique opportunity for members to network with colleagues and industry leaders and discuss issues of common interest. Virtual and online education occurs throughout the year.
AMRPA offers the Medical Rehabilitation Management Certification. The AMRPA certification program is designed to support new leaders and promote consistency and professionalism in rehabilitation management. The exam is designed not only for current medical rehabilitation managers, but for clinicians and professionals who wish to advance their careers by moving into rehabilitation management roles.
Communication
Members are kept appraised of all significant policy, legislative, and regulatory matters as well as association updates through a variety of channels.
AMRPA publishes multiple digital newsletters throughout the month providing timely summaries of current happenings on Capitol Hill, in the Administration, and across the inpatient rehabilitation field. Our digital newsletters are available to all AMRPA members and archived on the AMRPA website for past editions.
Special member alerts are sent via email to educate members on the most urgent issues facing our field, including calls to action for engagement with Congress and the Administration, release of the annual IRF payment rule, and other opportunities to mobilize a national response on behalf of the field.
“Members Only” Calls are held quarterly by AMRPA leadership and staff to provide timely information on emerging policy developments and association issues, with the opportunity to discuss live questions and answers on key topics.
AMRPA is also active on social media. Connect with us on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. The AMRPA website contains members only resources, including access to information, presentations, data, toolkits, and other critical materials, AMRPA’s Membership Directory and Congressional Search Tool, and much more.
