AMRPA Appoints Robert Larrison as Board Member

National medical rehabilitation leader will immediately contribute to the mission of the association

(WASHINGTON -- February 8, 2023) – Robert G. Larrison, Enterprise Group Vice President of the Atrium Health Rehabilitation Network and President of Carolinas Rehabilitation, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Medical Rehabilitation Provider’s Association (AMRPA). Larrison is a strong visionary in the field of rehabilitation, evidenced by his founding of the Exchanged Quality Data Rehabilitation (EQUADRSM), an AHRQ-listed patient safety organization, among many other notable accomplishments.  AMRPA will benefit from his successful work in both rural and urban markets,  innovative approach to workforce engagement,  dedication to patient advocacy and focus on improving access to medically necessary care. 

In announcing Larrison’s appointment, AMRPA Chairman Anthony Cuzzola asserted, “During his tenure at Atrium Health and Carolinas Rehabilitation, Robert has demonstrated a genuine commitment to the rehabilitation field.  I look forward to benefiting from Robert’s clinical, entrepreneurial, and advocacy skills in my work with the Board.  As a personal and professional colleague, I am thrilled to have him join the Board and I know his expertise will continue to push the association forward.”

Larrison currently serves as the executive responsible for Atrium Health Rehabilitation Network’s nine rehabilitation hospitals and units, 69 outpatient therapy clinics and multiple acute care therapy departments. “For many years I’ve admired AMRPA and  especially appreciate AMRPA’s  advocacy for some of the most vulnerable patients and families in the respective communities that rehabilitation hospitals serve.  I look forward to  supporting AMRPA’s mission to advance medical rehabilitation through advocacy, education and access to care.”.
